does SBI negotiate home loan rate if you tell about balance transfer to another bank ?

did anyone transfer loan from sbi to another bank ? how was your experience and does sbi negotiate or they simply let you go ?

All banks negotiate all charges.. So it boils down to your negotiation skills and the person on the other side.. However with SBI you may not have a very smooth process of negotiation as it will be a nightmare to even speak to someone who can take a decision

SBI offered home loan at cheapest rate 3 years back, but now afer all the rate hikes its above 9, however currently they are offering loan to new customers at discounted rate under some festive offer, same is true for other banks too so not sure what to do. for existing customers rates are High but for new customers its less.

They may try to negotiate, its upto you what kind of deal you are able to negotiate. Normally, for 10-20 basis points difference in loan rate may not substantiate move to another bank. Check the ongoing rates in other banks and try to negotiate.
