My car loan EMI with Bank Of Baroda was due on 10th Oct, the ECS mandate was registered (IndusInd bank) well in advance while signing the loan papers.
Received a message on 13th Oct that EMI is overdue. Shocked to see that it was not deducted from IndusInd account.
On calling the branch employee who was dealing with my loan, he said that the ECS mandate was not registered from his side as he forgot to do the OTP based registration.
Today being a sunday, he told me to transfer the amount to the account which belongs to the branch and he will manually transfer it to my loan account tomorrow.
Here the mistake is on the part of the branch and I'm sure the manager will reverse the penalty and extra interest amount.
I am worried about the CIBIL reporting. Is there any way to tackle this?
