Just wondering if EMI transaction gets reward points as well. If yes, does it get credited after the tenure?

No, EMIs are excluded for points on all Axis cards.

I guess 99.9% of the credit cards wont give reward points on EMI Tx. Probably only Amex is the one which gives, but will have to check

I think hdfc also gives, as i have heard few people making emi so that they don't reach Smartbuy daily capping.

Citibank does. In fact give full reward pts for total txn amount in month of txn itself.

To my knowledge if u convert any big ticket to emi the rps will get reversed and some good banks will again credit it on when and then u pay EMIs monthly (so net to net we get all rps for the spend) again the particular card variant MITC matters pls read it thoroughly
