Farewell Vistara! The best Indian Airline to have flown the skies. ❤️

Do you think Air India will have the same commitment to the quality and service standard of Vistara?

  • I already see it

  • After the replacement of the aging fleet

  • Not in a million years

So it’s official now. The beloved Vistara brand will be forever gone, and hopefully AI will bring their standards up to fill the void left behind by Vistara. If any of you have any flight plans in the coming weeks, consider travelling on Vistara as this will the last time you can. Post 11th November 2024 all flights will be operated solely by Air India, and Vistara as we know will cease to exist.

Vistara was my favourite airline. Kinda sad to see it merge into AI.
Contrary to popular opinion my experience on (the few) AI flights I took has been good so I'm hopeful things would only get better in the future.
I do agree they need new planes and hopefully its not only the Boeing 737 maxs...never flying on that shit...

Yup. Vistara was noteworthy, and I even preferred them for long-haul flights. Speaking of the new fleets, I had the opportunity to try out the new A350 and it was a refreshing change. I totally enjoyed the experience and I'm looking forward to seeing if the Tatas can add the magic back into Air India.
I hate the 737 Max too. Unfortunately, they will get around 200 of those dreaded 737s along with the A320 neos for short haul.

I have my 2 flights in sep and oct each … will miss vistara after that ☹️… the only change I need in air india ffp is addition of booking for nominee’s 😗.

I had a chance to fly A350 business class on domestic route MUM-BLR. The flight was fantastic.

On the other hand, Boeing 787 experience on DEL-DXB was underwhelming with screens not working and sub par crew treatment. So Air India is a mixed bag. I hope they improve in the future. Vistara experience was quite consistent and great!

What should I do of my points will it be devalued should I hold them or book tickets please tell I have 1 lkh points and 4 economy vocuhers to be used till next year March please help

Hold them bro if you don’t have travel soon . Points and vouchers will get transferred to air india ffp … you will get good redemptions in air india … don’t worry abt devaluation.

Well, I don't differ on emotions as far as sunset of Vistara is concerned as they were always the preferred ones for me.
But at same time I pity that how we Indians have treated airlines / aircrafts in last many years, especially on long haul sectors.

Quite frequently, I have seen people mishandling touch screens....have seen people putting eating tray beneath the seat just like in a second class train boogie....still see children of educated people / NRIs on flight to UK/Canada/Australia/etc. mis handling ALL things which you can imagine on an economy seat. Equally disturbing is the plight of staff of a foreign airline on these sectors.....but due to difference in air fares I think Air India has suffered most and keep suffering still.

If we have to allow an airline to change, I think we have to change ourselves first.
Apologies, if my post annoys anyone, but this is what I have seen in last 17 years of frequent flying.
