for me, its the only Xcite one, I didn't complete my application because they kept me offering ultra or Ace

one got ace, another got ultra
none of which I want

I think it's only for base reward, you can confirm from cs.

depends on your use-case
no clear winner amongst them

I suggest to go ahead with what they offer and get it converted to basic Xcite after Ace or Ultra is issued. That's my plan.

16 points or 18 points or 30 points per Rs 100 spent 1st to 5th of every month in Dept stores?

I think AU bank has now introduced rewards redemption fees.

118 rupees for every redemption whether for mobile recharge or Amazon pay voucher.
So you need to wait to get many reward points and then redeem to minimise your expense

Yes I confirmed with customer care that if you use Xcite card for grocery, department store, movies and dining from 1st to 5th of the month, you will get reward points worth 7.5% without any limit.
So Xcite is the best card, better than Xcite Ace and Ultra

But there are points redemption charges, so factor in that too.

20 paisa for GV like Amazon pay, 25 paisa for mobile recharge.
Rs 118 per redemption request, so keep accumulating & redeem in bulk just before 2 yr expiry or just before the next point devaluation is announced by AU.
You will get enough notice & time to redeem.
