Just under the banner of this group (top of this group page), you have 3 buttons - Leave group, Notifications and Settings. Click on notifications and the last option/checkbox is to stop member requests for joining closed group. This option is pre-checked. Uncheck and save and you are good. Do not forget to save else it will not take effect. Small things but we miss them out sometimes. Hope this helps.

Have updated the group privacy settings to Secret group.

Now you all will be able to see a tag Secret group written at start.

You can test it by opening TF community in incognito mode and clicking on group section.

No one except the current group members will be able to identify it's existence.
