Two months ago i got Eazydiner Card on split limit basis (1.5 lac each) and then upgraded Indusind Pinnacle to Vistara Explorer Card. Today received limit enhancement offer on VIstara Card. This will be my highest limit card and first card to break 3 lac limit.

All my cards were stuck at 3 lac limit, even after requesting to bank i didnt got any enhancement beyond 3 lac. So, this became milestone barrier for me. And today i am very happy to share this news with all of you!

I spent average 30% on this card & also made some high value transactions when possible. Including international spends for business saved me some money on Zero forex charges.

This is journey towards Magnus! Thanks to Technofino community and all members i have learned almost everything here about CC journey.

How old was your Pinnacle and after how many months of upgrading you received this offer?

You are late for Magnus. It's not useful now.

10K joining and 10K annual.
Hey, I have a few questions regarding this card.

1) Is lounge access free for guests or add on cards?
2) What exactly is considered travel spend besides flight / train / bus / stay / rental car - for eg is scuba diving course or a ski course considered travel expense?
3) how many tiers points required to maintain gold status from second year?
4) How is availability of business class seats?

1. Lounge access is 1 per quarter for domestic and 4 for international. No guest access.
2. Travel is by MCC code. e.g. You can pay to any online website using Razorpay gateway with this card using Ola Money as wallet option and it will be considered in Travel category.
3. Gold tier requirements are by Vistara. This is major drawback of this card.
4. Not booked the business class ticket yet. You can get award tickets if travelling 2-3 people easily, if you have big family 4-6 people then its hard to get all business class tickets.

Major benefit of this card is for Rent Payment. There is no additional surcharge and points are credited as per Utility category spend.

Thank you for your reply.

Razorpay via Ola is a nice trick for domestic spends. For international activity spends (non stay/travel), razorpay is not available, so I think it will give 1% CV only.

For rent payment, SBI vistara prime (I already have this) is much better, it gives 2% CV vs 0.5% CV in Explorer card.

The conclusion to my excel analysis is that DCB offers far better reward rate (incl Global value Program, milestone benefits, memberships) and lounge benefit on international spends (3.25% net upto 1L/ per cycle and 2.25% net post 1L and unlimited lounge) without annual fees (5L spend waiver).

For domestic spends, rewards rates with DCB can be as high as 16.65 - 33.35% on flights, bus and stays and 10% on IRCTC, regular expense (by buying amazon GV). Hence I will try to increase my income and aim to get DCB in next 3-6 months.

I will keep my SBI Vistara prime for Rent, Utility, Fuel, Insurance, Jewellery, Govt bills for 4.25% returns (assuming free PE ticket value at 4000 Rs and CV value at 0.8 RS).

After getting DCB LTF and doing a fresh analysis, I think it's not a good card for international spends. My card is getting declined on international sites I need to use for payments and the 2.36% fee (post 1L) for 3% real value reward rate is not great.

My RBL World Safari card is also getting declined at International POS. Didn't work in Vietnam and Philippines while Indie DC is working fine.

I am rethinking getting this Vistara Explorer card and closing RBL world Safari. Please suggest the best way to upgrade from Aura to Vistara Explorer with 10K joining fee. Also which MCC code is applicable for 3% Club Vistara Points on Hotels/Airline/Travel spends?
