Flying Delta Airlines : Which is the best FF program to have the miles added to?

Folks,

Im doing a multicity trip in the USA with 3-5 inter city flights on Delta First Class. As im just joining this world of miles i wanted to check and seeek guidance on

- Do i just create a Delta Skymiles account
- Is there any benefit to maybe a AF/KLM account (i dont have either) - but i can transfer AXIS points via Mangus to Flying Blue
- Anyother recomended Airline programs?

Cards im using to generate miles are Infinia & Magnus

Delta miles have no expiry. But they do not give you great value. If you get 1.3cpp, you are good; they are called skypesos for a reason. The only time they give excellent value is on their routes which are on sale occasionally.

For FB, you have the advantage to top up your miles from your cards, unlike Delta for which you need US cards issued by Amex (either cobranded or normal ones) or UK Amex. But for FB, the miles you transfer and the miles you accrue from flying AF/KLM have different expiry policies. But if you plan to use FB miles, it is better to accumulate them there since you can transfer from Axis or HDFC to top up and use them.
