Get all Enquiry Control Number to remove CIBIL Enquiry

I had 5 CIBIL enquiries from IDFC First Bank shown in my CIBIL. When I mailed them. This is the reply I received

Dear Sir,

We have reviewed the information in your email and request that you share the ECN (enquiry control number's) for each inquiry to raise it with the CIBIL team. Please liaise with the CIBIL team for the inquiry control numbers for enquiry made. On receipt of the ECN (enquiry control number's), we can begin the process of suppressing CIBIL inquiries



How do I get the ECN for EACH enquiry? The free reports just give you general 1 ECN, CIBIL gives you an overall control number 6,400,......

Can someone help me find for each enquiry? Have mailed to transunion but not sure if they will reply.
 
Raise a dispute on the CIBIL website against the said enquiries. Now when u track the dispute in CIBIL website u will be able to check individual enquiry control number for each enquiry (it's a 10digit number)
I have raised dispute in CIBIL but not able to see ECN. How long does it take for individual enquiry control number for each enquiry to be visible?

Cibil takes 1 months to replies to your dispute later in that mail they will please get in touch with the lender
 
Finally after complaining to RBI and waiting for more than 45 days. Lost this battle of removal of CIBIL enquiry.
RBI Closed the complaint with the following remark:

Closure Intimation for Complaint XXXX against IDFC FIRST BANK LIMITED

कृपया सीएमएस पोर्टल/ ईमेल/ पत्र के द्वारा IDFC FIRST BANK LIMITED के विरुद्ध लोकपाल के पास दर्ज की गई अपनी शिकायत देखें।

Please refer to your complaint against IDFC FIRST BANK LIMITED filed through the CMS portal/email/letter with the Ombudsman.

2. Your bank has informed that you had applied for the credit card through the OTP generation process. Since the customer has himself applied for the credit card, they would not be able to suppress the CIBIL inquiry for the same.

3.तदनुसार, आपकी शिकायत को अस्‍वीकार्य वर्गीकृत किया गया है और रिज़र्व बैंक - एकीकृत लोकपाल योजना, 2021 के खंड 16(2)(a), जिसे निम्‍नप्रकार पढा जाए, के तहत बंद किया जाता है:

“Complaint is rejected under Clause 16(2)(a) of the Reserve Bank - Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021 : 'In the opinion of the Ombudsman, there is no deficiency in service'”

Wondering why you went to RBI when IDFC itself was willing to suppress the enquiry (as evident from your first post).

Also why were you challenging this enquiry? You didn't apply for the card? Or multiple enquiries done?

1. IDFC denied later saying, won't be able to suppress the enquires. Even escalating to nodal officer didn't help.


2. Used my PAN and OTP to check the card available, but it showed sorry your application cannot be processed. Didn't even show any card. So I used to try a few hours later. All resulted in an enquiry

Oh. In my case, for Rs x card due (single digit amount), which I didn't pay they had reported to CIBIL for non-payment. They suppressed post my request.

But there was only one enquiry from IDFC First and you applied for a card right?
 
@mgforce IDFC PNO not ready to supress CIBIL hit for card that was not processed due to non serviceable area. Anything that I can do? If I start a new mail chain, will it get end up with same Pno?
Same thing happened with me. My IDFC Credit Card Application got declined later at the office verification stage due to non serviceable pincode.
IF the address was non serviceable i don't understand why they processed my application to reject it at later stage.

so my question is can i request them to remove my Cibil Inquiry they made???

Unlikely in these cases because we agreed for CIBIL hit in the first place. But no harm trying 🙂

Logically makes sense that first should check feasibility and then do CIBIL enquiry...but banks are like that

This can be challengeable in Consumer Court or High Court that the IDFC Bank providing Lifetime Free Credit Card to pan India, However it restrict to some selected PIN Codes only. If they provide card on basis over selected pincodes then why they giving options to apply anyone. (Even the Bank didn't disclose/showing the Pincodes through its website or before applying and it's t&c). So it really means to keep the customer in dark and destroy the CIBIL. Its indicate the Bank motive is not good towards customer.
Hence it proves Restricted trade practice and deficiency in service. The Bank is fully liable to pay compensation and penalty for what they doing.
Amex/SCB/HSBC etc cards can be apply to selected cities and they mentioned it in there website.
