Just a dumb question, is it called "wifi enabled"?

I saw that whenever I want to tap my card, I usually ask "NFC" but shopkeepers says its wifi enabled.

I might be wrong as I'm not good with accurate terminlogy but based on 3rd screenshot, do we have to call this "contactless feature" as wifi enabled or some other accurate name for it?

I might be wrong but even same mentioned in 3rd screenshot, so do we have to call this contactless feature as wifi enabled or some other accurate name for it?
Just for the sake of convenience, since it matches with the wifi symbols in our phone , people at the billing counter started calling it wifi enabled and it became a general practice.
As we call every toothpaste as colgate .
Just a slang version of nfc/contactless enabled symbol nothing else.

Desi people call (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal etc) NFC, Contactless or Tap & Pay Card a WiFi Card.
