Good Rupay card for UPI transactions?

Yep but still not bad if you have bigbasket service in ur area. Other best is regalia rupay if you don't have dcb/infinia from hdfc already.
Most psu bank give max 0.5% on every 100 as regular rewards + you can add some cheap milestone. But you have to deal with idiots on every step if some support is needed.
Imo best cars is axis rupay iocl card but we need to wait for axis to join upi cc.

Check out pnb rupay platinum or select both r good cards for upi transactions. Pnb platinum had 0 joining fees and annual fee will be waived off if card is used one in a quarter same with select but it has 500rs joining fees

I visited the bank and they asked me to open a bank account for the same.
Apply online no need to visit bank. Bank executive do this things to meet their targets

as per my knowledge, hdfc only offer one credit card so not be applying for hdfc cards
Now you can avail one cobranded card in addition to normal card. I hold both dcb n neu infinity. Limit is shared.

I hold HDFC IOCL and HDFC Tata Neu Plus. Both are co-branded. Can I get core HDFC card like Regalia as 3rd card ?

The more annual fee one should be the better card right? What is better about it than the no joining fee one?
