Hi everyone

So few days ago i applied for hdfc regalia c2c with 420k limit and received business Moneyback with 23k limit. I tried to reach my rm and hdfc customer support for help but they r on another level customer support told me im not eligible which is wrong as im eligible for at least millennia credit card as i have 6L+ itr so today i tried to reason with my rm about it but she said something which is hilarious just read the chat im attaching below. Yes i know surat is not a metro city like Delhi or Mumbai but surat is not a small village either so this explanation what my rm is giving is totally bullshit in my opinion

Banks cannot differentiate on eligibility based upon cities. Most people working from home in Surat are likely to have their office in Bangalore or Hyderabad.

1. my hdfc RM had given me wrong information about card eligibility and pricing. i wrote to escalation team and got approved. later rm calls me and tries to sell some useless products. i tell her that she provided me with wrong information. she says sorry she didn't know about that offer. and then again tried to sell me useless product. so my suggestion is don't depend on hdfc RMs. in my experience, senior management of hdfc is serious about business but customer facing employees are causing trouble to users

2. hdfc discriminates based on salaried vs self-employed when it comes to card eligibility. make sure that your salaried/business status is not affecting it.

I told her that ye galat hai ese nahi hota to wo boli ke aap customer care me baat karke dekhlo to mene call kiya aur waha se customer support wale ko pucha ke surat aur mumbai ke liye itr alag alag hota hai kya to wo bola nahi air full india ke liye same hota hai aur mene wo call recording meri rm ko bhej di ab dekhte hai wo kya bolti hai

same thing happened to me when I applied which was almost a year ago, even during KYC their agent confirmed the millenia card and when I got the delivery it was the moneyback trash.
First they lure you with good card with no income document requirement then slap you with a low end card with seriously low limits and when you complin they ask for ITR and income proofs to get the desired cards and limit.

please send this screenshot to grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com and ask whether what their RM is saying is correct or not.

You should have applied directly using website. At HDFC, RM will treat you well only when they have a target to sell some useless products.

Bro my suggestion is dont activate the card and close it.
Don't apply using c2c in hdfc ever.
After 3 months, apply using itr or payslips, thats best

I've stopped relying on RM completely as they seem to be only interested in selling you their crap.

When I got my Regalia a few years ago, i was given a brand new card separately instead of upgrading my existing card just to get some commission money. CC later confirmed they could've simply upgraded my card if I had called them.

chapter isn't over look for hdfc nodal credit card customer id, write an email saying yr IT file details wit the attachment, n mention yr application number , yr dob. Don't say how u applied , jst mention ur were expecting 1.5 lakh as u hv a stable source of income n a millenia card ( whatever happens wil b in yr favour, surat rocks)

Same with me appiled for millennia but got freedom card with 12k limit i already have 2 lakh limit card of icici and sbi.....

Nodal wil reply u, after mailing them did u receive an acknowledge msg there n then after yr mail, if yes they wil study yr stage n get back to u.. In my case they took 12 to 14 days. Other ways along wit nodal tag escalated n customer care hdfc al three.
U shod receive an acknowledge where they say they wil get back to u in xyz days .
