HDFC Bank Introducing New Services Online

HDFC Bank earlier introduced Insta Services where you could change your branch, account type, mobile number, etc online

Now they have added a few more online services which could very useful to customers.

  • Add a New Member (as a Joint Account Holder) to your HDFC Bank account
  • Update Email ID (Only for Credit Card holders)
  • Update Mobile Number (Only for Credit Card holders)
  • Aadhar Seeding
  • Signature Update(vKYC based)

Looks like HDFC Bank finally woke up and realised they have not introduced much needed services online🤣🤣

Was looking for converting single to joint a/c procedure, branch told me it was impossible 😒 You have to open new a/c!
May be they were looking for their criteria
 
Today I had taste of HDFC Digital and personal service. I wanted to upgrade my account to preferred banking. Somehow it never shows any auto upgrade for me. I complained to customer service and got form to be submitted to branch and then this loop started-
1. Personal banker said not able to trigger online upgrade so will do manually basis form submitted. Now signature do not match. Obvious it was opened 20years ago. No problem have sent you a link, you please update signature. Once done I will match signature on form and do upgrade.
2. Well link is of this Xpressway only. It started vkyc where after verifying PAN, I am asked to produce old signature first. Well if I could have signed my old signature, problem would not happen in first place. But still I tried. Vkyc gets closed saying unable to verify and try again. I tried 3 times. Third time guy told me sir if your old signature do not match, he cannot proceed. So what is option go to branch.
3. So I went to branch. Wonderful they said you put new signature here and at bottom sign off with your old signature. If it tallies, they will process, otherwise it will be rejected!!
4. I tried explaining stupidity to upto branch head if I could have signed old 20year signature, problem would not exist in first place!! No we have this process only. I was even shown old signature to practice!!
5. I had similar issue in ICICI where I simply gave signature change form and they checked PAN card, matched my photo and it got updated in minutes. Here they verify my PAN, my photo, obtained biometric adhaar signature too but still saying I need to match my old signature to update. Wow!!!!
In the end they finally took form and said will try if their CPU gets satisfied.
I am still not able to understand if somebody's signature changed over the period which is quite common, by HDFC sop, it practically cannot be changed.
 
if a person has zero balance salary account and if they add their parent all facility like separate debit card, netbanking, debit card etc applicable to them as well?
