hdfc credit card downgrade questions

I have dcb ltf.

i am planning to use the card heavily for a year and then request upgrade to infinia.

the main attraction of infinia right now is equivalent amount of vouchers for renewal fees, so effectively the card comes at 2k fees per year.

i am wondering, given the rate of devaluations, if they take away the renewal voucher benefit of infinia, will I have the option to formally downgrade the card to my older dcb ltf?

I have explicitly asked about this: They will offer a downgrade once from an Infinia to a dcb. However the LTF-ness of the downgraded dcb is not guaranteed. My dcb was LTF under an alumni scheme - they said when downgrading, they would look at whether the alumni offer was still running and internal guidelines (which could mean anything). They seemed confident that the 'metal' Infinia will continue to come with renewal benefits in the near future.
