HDFC DCP Swiggy 5X denied for Dineout Transaction

HDFC is denying bonus reward points for Dineout transaction using Swiggy app for Diners Club Privilege, when asked for which TnC supports their stance multiple times got the same reply from escalation.cc, after weeks of waiting:

We conducted detailed review and regret to inform that we are unable to post reward points.

At first they said since Dineout HDFC Card offer was already applied, it won't be eligible for bonus RP. But DCP doesn't have specific Dineout offer and falls under other credit card offer. No mention of this exclusion in Offer TnC and DCP TnC and MITC afaik. HDFC refused to point out any official document, which affirms my view.

There were multiple transactions, and HDFC posted points for the first small one stating it as an exemption (after a bit of fighting), but when I asked again for other big transaction they stalled reply for more than a month just to reject it.

Im thinking of going to RBI Ombudsman now, since it had been more than 2 months of fighting on email and have clear rejection message from HDFC escalation.cc. Btw grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com didnt reply to me at all. I have multiple mails, and HDFC not replying but starting a new mail thread is frustrating. How should I organise my multiple mails to different levels?

What kind of compensation should I demand, if any? Category of complaint? I tried to file complaint once but was slumped due to 14 digits of DCP, not realising to append 2 0s in the beginning 😅. Is the account number the one from Credit Report?

This will be first time Im going to RBI BO so any advice would be appreciated 👍. Also let me know if Im missing something. TIA.

I waited for them since they posted RP once but now they have denied bonus points, and I also have statement in which previous exemption bonus points are posted, will it be of any help?
Raise the Complaint with RBI BO.

Add zeroes at start to make it 16 digit. This is just formality. HDFC will identify the Case anyway.

Also for Compensation Amount there is a range given , Enter highest of it🤣

However In Complaint text mention Fair Compensation and Explain the issue Briefly and mention all facts like there is no document/Evidence available on offical Bank Website in which any such chages are mentioned based on which HDFC is deniying Posting of eligble points . This is clearly indicates Deficiency in Services from HDFC Bank.

If Bonus Points is a Product Feature you can give reference to 30 days rule also since you have not received any Intimation in advance about changes.

Just Draft it Properly.


Basically you have to attached three Emails
1) Email in which you raised the issue
2) Bank Response in which they denied Posting
3)Reminder, email in which you raised the issue again.

Upload Rest Conversation PDF in Chronological Order, at the end.

Also there is a word Limit for complaint text, so Just be to the Point , do not use special characters and Submit the Complaint.
Even if something is left to explain RBI will send follow up mail after receiving Bank's Response. Explain your point in that Followup mail.

It is definitely not a Misselling. Choose any other Most Appropriate Option.
Reward Points related Direct Category is not available when I filed last time for such an issue

yeah but the lower limit is the value of reward points missing right? Im not sure how to calculate the fair compensation value here, but hdfc should be fined for their mistake here, right? Just tell me an apt figure im sure RBI/HDFC will make it fair (For them)

Technically it is the Value of RPs Only.

Enter any Amount.

Do not think Much. RBI may/May not took the Amount seriously.

But I have seen a case where someone entered 5k in second option and Got Exactly 5k🤣.

So, Why should one Decrease the Scope of his Comepensation Himself.🤣
 
Its now more than 2 weeks, Im getting CRM Case registered mails from HDFC, response by x date, then after 2 days of x another case registered so on, RBI shows step 1 only
