And what's with their verifiers creepy behavior of taking photos of home and office and asking neighbors name?

Even once from icici they visited my home took photos and asked neighbours name
Its part of home verification idk why
May be just to verify that the person actually belongs here
But they do
Althought hdfc doesn't do it normally
they give card straight away many a times

Send a word in dm on X. Get a lead id from them. The priority redressal team will take care of it.

Post application rejection and after multiple contacts to Bank representative, multiple emails to grievance and escalation team, and Twitter support I received this email from HDFC CC grievance redressal team.

😡These things took a whole month. And still rejected.
You know what was the issue? The verification person arrived at workplace on Saturday and that too on lunch hours when I was at home for lunch. My colleague was in office and he asked questions to him. And he came to home as well and took photos and everything.
After rejection I was mentioned by HDFC bank representative that my visiting card was missing during verification. I offered him my visiting card and he collected it from my home and got my signature on two pages which he said that those were declaration forms.
I don't know what happened to those forms. I'm concerned about its misuse.
What should I do now?
Because of this verification and re-verification I had to cancel many plans to outside even for lunch or tea during working hours.
HDFC credit card application process is torturous and harassment of a kind.

You can try escalating to Ombudsman. But hdfc is very rigid.
