HDFC did multiple credit enquiries for single credit card application

Hi all,
I applied for a credit card with HDFC last month. To my surprise the bank did 3 credit enquiries for this single application. Due to this my credit score has dropped. I have been trying to improve my score since many months now but all the effort is in vain due to this. Is this common for banks to post multiple enquiries for single application? If not, what can I do to rectify this.

Its normal for hdfc. but you can ask them to remove those extra inquiries.
