HDFC fastag FRAUD!
Today around 2 PM , I received a msg from toll for 125 deducted from my wallet. I asked my family if anyone had used the car. No one used it in last 3 days. The keys are at home too and the car is parked outside and covered securely. The main thing is the toll used was a familiar one we usually go through about 25-30 km from my home. I immediately contacted pathetic HDFC, their online portal is sh*tty, I called customer care to only be routed to the same portal to raise a complaint. I've raised a Fraud Transaction request. I'll advise all members to terminate their HDFC fastag and get any other one. I've never encountered such issue in Paytm. Pathetic HDFC. Kindly guide me for next steps if anyone has gone through same, Thank you 🙏

Their employees are arrogant.
It's easy for frauds to transfer wallet money to bank in HDFC than actual customers, what a clown bank.
I'll close the fastag after the transaction is reversed.
 
You can easily login to the hdfc fasttag app or website and raise a duspute there.
You need to take the front phot and side photo of the car and upload it in the claim.
Within 48 hrs they'll refund the amt.
No need to call pathetic hdfc cc

Note: there is tonnes of videos in youtube regarding this and the process is the same everyone has to follow

Yes! I've uploaded the documents (RC) as told by CC. Nothing good lasts in India. If it's too easy to use, it's too easy to scam too! They didn't even msg me the ID of transaction dispute. CC said he is raising the request but can't see he has done anything other than wasting my time. I tried almost 10-15 times then their site loaded.

Not just HDFC
I've seen such reports for icici, axis and many others as well

There must be something that toll gates are using to scam users

Same is case for every fastag. Process with paytm is even worse. I know someone who had to file case in consumer court.
 
I have faced the same issue with HDFC Fastag. They deducted 69.87 & 35.13, 2 entries at the same time. I have raised a request 3 days ago, yet the status is in progress. Does anyone know which bank Fastag is better & more secure?
 
Update: Same day the scam happened, I raised a dispute transaction with the bank. Login HDFC Fastag account. They ask you the reason , for this transaction I selected 'Toll services not availed and charged wrongly' Had to upload RC front photo (pic 1) + make a collage of 2 images (front number plate + back number plate with car view) in one (pic2) Upload both the photos. In 3-4 days bank contacted the toll and raised chargeback request. After a week , the amount is successfully credited to the same fastag account it linked bank account.

Change into any fastag , as the modus operandi is same and based on NETC tech , it won't make any difference. If you had frequent scams with the fastag then get a new one. Only thing is you won't get the ₹100 charged for issuing fastag back.

It takes about 10-15 days. Wait for it, they refund the amount.
 
It's not tollgate operators. Its very easy to clone radio signals.
Most common instance is the kid/people who come to clean windshield in traffic and clone it.
Pray that India don't have the infamous Flipper Zero It's a menace to all tech operating on radio signals, tap and pay CC, NETC , wifi. You can do literally anything with it. Watch on YouTube, some hackers and thieves got a hold of in it India too as authorities don't know what it is and they didn't banned it. Just some extra taxes and you get a tool for stealing cars and CC to hacking wifi. It's out of stock all the time that's the only reason it isn't widespread yet
 
Yesterday happened with idfc fasttag Rs 105 deducted for vehicle parked at my house ,at toll plaza 400 kms far from my house , I raised complaint ,let's see
 
This is an alarming trend. I wonder if we will fault the ones that need to be, or shall we be content with filing complaint against the bank…
