HDFC InstaAccount opening: bad experience

Has anyone opened the instaaccount completely from their home, as they claim?

their vkyc always fails due to problem at their end, and their branch representative asks to visit branch and complete kyc, which defeats the purpose of instaacount. the representative then visits the home and collects kyc.
maybe it is deliberately done so that branch can show it as an account successfully opened by the branch and inflate their sales numbers?

happened with me twice.

No such experience. Wanted to open HDFC premium salary account so tried online but came to know that any online account by default starts with digital savings account and then later can be converted to account of choice. I opened HDFC savings account on August 31, completed VKYC on that day itself. Received account opening confirmation on same day. The process was smooth. Received account details and customer ID on September 2. The welcome kit with debit card, cheque book and passbook was delivered on September 5. Branch RM called for confirmation. I asked them to convert this account to salary account. They asked to fill employer detail form which I did. Now the digital savings account is finally converted to premium salary account!

Same happened to me when i was trying to open my salary account and didn’t received any video KYC link due to some issue.
After contacting customer care they said to visit branch.
When visited branch they told that they are not able to do physical KYC also .
I have to visit 2 to 3 times but they didn’t do anything.

So i went to axis and opened my salary account in few minutes.
 
What docs were asked.. Was this form physical or online...???

They also suggested it can be done online with this link https://leads.hdfcbank.com/applications/webforms/apply/account-mapping-by-customer/index.aspx?pcode= or you can update the same through mobile banking app.

What is this lg code..... And duly stamped and submitted... Means... U had it signed by hr?? Or had to submit salary slip/offer letter or company id...??


And if we do it online... No branch visit required... Or we just fill the form... And its just gets converted to Salary account.... Like in icici..??

No need to put anything in LG code, it's for bank. Either you share cancelled HDFC cheque with payroll department (simple and easy process) or get HR stamp on official letterhead mentioning employer details for salary account purpose and submit it to bank. (Lengthy process) No branch visit required at all. It will be the best, if your company has tie up with HDFC bank!

Okay... So i opened the the link.... But there was no option to upload anything.... If I fill application online.... Then will have to visit branch or anyone from branch will contact for above documents...??

Yeah they certainly do. Maybe not commission but they have to meet their sales target. Even for a very basic account , they get commissions. They also get commission for successfully completing vkyc of customer and stuff.

As per my talk with hdfc official, each basic account gets them points. For each rejection, 2 points will be deducted, because of this they're always harassers
 
I opened my HDFC Account in Oct 2021 Online. The only issue I faced was the initial deposit took 3 days to reflect in my account.
Other than that VKYC and other stuff went smooth and I received my Welcome Kit about 5 days after the initial deposit was reflected in my account
