Hdfc is force-selling Health insurance for credit card holders

Today I have received a call from HDFC Bank Landline number .They said that are you looking for credit limit enhancement or card upgrade?And said that My KYC is not updated for the credit card.They halfly told the policy is need to be updated .As this is KYC update call and they haven't asked about any details like Pan or Aadhar so I said okay........Then some personal number called and verified everything and she assured that Limit will be enhanced or Card will be upgraded.Then asked me a OTP.That OTP was from Aditya Birla Insurance.After telling the OTP,she was asking for CVV and expiry indirectly.She said my full card number .She already knows the full card number.Then I received a message from Aditya Birla insurance to click the link to pay the premium and she also told it is mandatory...........then I cut the call and again received from another man and called my branch credit card department and asked is that true ?they are telling like this...Then he said no....They are selling this to every card holding customer....So he adviced not to opt for this as they are selling the product without our knowledge.....

Kindly please be aware .He said now many complaints are coming like this.I know this only about Hdfc.Thank you

Thanks for letting us know.. Here True caller really helps.

As true caller highlights these spam calls, like HDFC insurance caller, ICICI Loans Caller, even Amex Health Insurance caller etc. I just don't answer them and block them immediately...

If I want something, I will ask my RM or CC .. I answer calls from my RM only.. I told my RM also don't call un-necessarily.. He calls only one time a month to find out how I am doing..

This makes our life a lot easier..
 
I was willing to get that Limit enhancement...so I shared OTP and when they start asking for expiry and CVV,I stopped sharing

Not this exact thing, but I got a call from some scammer asking to do KYC and to share my Aadhar, PAN card etc. for a HDFC Ergo Policy that had expired over a decade back. When I asked why they want to do KYC on an expired policy, they kept repeating that it was company policy. 😆

Somehow data is leaking from HDFC, as she was able to tell the policy details accurately.
