HDFC KYC request almost one month after application rejection

I applied for pre approved HDFC Regalia card as per your email which was rejected on 21 st November 2024, after that an SMS for Offline KYC process for application for card received on 24th December 2024 (Application number in KYC request SMS and rejection email is same)

On asking the agent coming for KYC, inquired why KYC is being conducted after rejection, he said application was rejected because of no KYC, tried emailing customer care twice but they are replying without reading the email that application was rejected due to internal credit policy, without actually reading the query.

Please suggest if should continue with the KYC process

We are in the same boat. I applied through hdfc portal on 6th dec. It got rejected on 13th and received an email and a call from hdfc (on 16th) that your hdfc bank has been rejected but on hold due to adhaar address mismatched. So we are sending someone to do ekyc(fingerprint and all). They have given one more option to bypass this, for that i have to send a self declaration address form to Chennai office through their credit box available at their bank branches.
Please suggest if should continue with the KYC process
Go ahead and do kyc. And don't forget to share here whatever happens next.

on the KYC Agent part, asking them will not be fruitful as the agent will be from a third party agency hired for KYC only have nothing to do with Bank.

In order to know the exact reason you need to ask email support if not received then PNO and once 30 days are passed from your initial email raise a RBI Ombudsman complaint and they will make them share the reason.

For now complete KYC and push the customer care to approve card asking if anything more is required etc, as the goal is to get CC and the requirement for reason will become irrelevant if you get the CC approved.

@vaibhav111 please mark as solution if you agree it solves the OP's question !!
