HDFC Millennia Diners to Regalia Gold Upgrade Issue

Has anyone here managed to upgrade from HDFC Millennia Diners to Regalia Gold recently?

I’ve been an HDFC customer for 10+ years, hold a salary account, have a ₹5L limit, and ₹2L+ monthly salary credit. So I meet Regalia Gold’s criteria. Still, HDFC keeps saying “no upgrade offer available” and only pushes the pre-approved Marriott Bonvoy (₹3K fee) instead.

I used to hold Diners Club Premium CC and was given Millennia Diners after expiry. I asked for upgrade then but they refused. This was 8 months ago.

I really just want Regalia Gold. L1 said "We wish to clarify that the same is not in isolation to your card account but it is followed as a standard procedure across all card accounts. ". I escalated to L2 but still waiting a response.

Do i need to convert to Visa Millennia just to upgrade now? What do you guys think?

You surely qualify, try escalating to pno and if you have good spends on your card and also your current limit on existing millennia. But they will need 6 month cool off period between your last Limit increase and upgrade request.
