Devaluation HDFC MoneyBack+ Devaluation

Sunday

TF Select
HDFC silently changed the tnc on their website.

For statement credit: Each points now worth "upto" 0.25 rs. When I tried redeeming it's giving value of 0.20 rs. A 20% Devaluation.

For e-voucher also it's "upto" 0.25 now. When I tried Amazon & FK e-voucher it's giving 0.10 rs per point, that's outrageous!

Also, you need ₹500 worth of points to redeem against statement. So, 2500 points, which is the monthly capping on earning the accelerated rp. (I'm not sure if it was there before, cause I always redeemed >₹500)

It was a stupid card back then but it's almost worthless now. By adding the word "upto" they can do whatever they want, whenever they want. And don't forget about the stupid redemption charges. Earlier they used to charge 50rs+GST for statement credit. After latest Devaluation I can't find anywhere about the charges. I'll update on charges once I redeem the points.

For new applicants, please don't get this card.

Even money back + could be devalued :thinking-face:

No bro, paid millennia is still good. Only 1 lakh is required for annual fee waiver and can get 1000 voucher on achieving quarterly milestones.
Yes, if hitting all the milestone then it's good. Otherwise comparing to SBI Cashback, CB card is simple , no nonsense card & provides much flexibility across all merchants unlike the millennia's limited merchant list. Also there are redemption fees & everything for millennia, rewards points are locked for a statement cycle yada yada. Too much headache.

was about to close. had 1k points couldn't redeem.
got more reason to close the card
Its my only HDFC card, the limit is around 30K only as it is my first card I got as a student. They never offered any LE or card upgrade offer to me.
Planning on closing & applying again after a few months.
