HDFC Credit Cards HDFC PayZapp app's Pixel CC LifeTime Free offer is most likely a trap

Hello. Many of you might have seen the LifeTime free offer for the HDFC Pixel Credit Card on the HDFC PayZapp wallet app - on the banner.
When my friend informed me about the offer, I checked and found the banner in my app as well.

Before in the past, I have gotten Pre-approved LTF Offer for Milennia CC in the HDFC Mobile Banking app's in-app inbox section - applied, and after 2 months of address verification, documents sending and harassment it got rejected. So I was sus about this Pixel banner too.

Hence, I called my RM, sent her a photo of the banner. She connected with the CC team on her end, and informed me that it was NOT LTF offer, and the card was chargeable.For my account I had an offer for FYF.
My sus was right. It was just another HDFC LTF CC Trap!

Be aware brothers. Stay safe, stay vigilant!

Update: My RM called me today and informed me that they were informed by the officials that Pixel actually has LTF offers and they will be able to provide LTF.
But there are many people who have reported issues with Pixel Card - Splitting Credit Limits (not sharing credit limits) from other cards, and facing a lot of complexities later on to get back the limit back to old card and join it back.

Although I am thinking about taking it as a core card - as I don't have any core cards of hdfc and only have swiggy hdfc, but I am not sure if I should. Because - HDFC and their traps and complexities are always there creating new mess.

I started the application when it showed lifetime free and left it midway. Now I am getting SMS to complete the application and get FYF card.

@ArijitB Do remember that Payzapp operates outside of HDFC core banking system. If you call your RM or branch about your pixel cc, they won’t be able to view it at all. It also can’t be seen in your app or mycards page
