Note – As I’ve always said, HDFC Bank’s credit card system gives the same rewards for both card and UPI spends. The bank just posts incorrect information on its official website.
Reward Points Accrual:
4 Reward Points on every Rs.150 spent (On retail spends)
Earn 20 Reward Points on every Rs.150 retail* spends at Marks & Spencer, Myntra, Reliance Digital, Nykaa!
You’ll get the same rewards on UPI too, except for the excluded categories.
Important info – Since this is a new card, you might need to file a manual complaint the first time to get higher rewards on UPI spends. But from the next time onwards, it’ll start coming automatically. For example, the same thing happened with the HDFC Millennia RuPay Credit Card UPI — people had to complain once to get 5% cashback on UPI and from the next month, the 5% cashback started coming automatically on UPI spends too. This happens because the bank doesn’t have all the data initially. After you file a complaint, bank collect the new card network and UPI data and update it in their system.
