HDFC: Separate debit cards for Savings and Salary account

I have recently opened a Salary account with HDFC. I already had an existing Savings account with them. I was issued separate debit cards for both, and had different customer IDs initially. Recently, the customer IDs got merged, however on the portal, I can see only one debit card.

Can I keep using two different debit cards for my salary and savings accounts, or will one of them get deactivated?

I think its 1 DC per CustomerID, you need to link your bank accounts to DC which is listed in netbanking so that you can use both accounts via 1 card

Goto HDFC Netbanking -> Cards -> Debit Cards -> Request -> Account Linking to Debit Card and select the DC which is available there, once selected you will be able to add other account to it

Not sure how DC will work or which acc will be set as default (as POS wont have option to select acc everytime) but the option lies there

Yes ..you can have 1 debit card per account .
In your case you can have 2.

I also have salary + saving max account having two debit card (different varients )

Same! Salary + Savings Max. Has your customer IDs been merged into a single one? If so, do you have both debit cards under the same customer ID on Netbanking?

In my case, even after my customer IDs got merged, my salary account debit card is still not getting displayed under my primary cust id. It shows up when I login using my Salary account cust ID (which, weirdly, doesn't have any bank account linked to it now, just the DC). Does it take time to link the card?

You should probably contact CS, they changed the CID that the account was linked to, but not for the DC.

I am also facing same issue. What was the resolution? @RM95
