HDFC Smartbuy CC Promo Vouchers not sent

So, I have a HDFC Diners Black Card and I keep getting Promo emails/SMS about spending a certain amount on SmartBuy and getting promo vouchers. I got 1 in December 2022 that if I make a purchase of 10k on smartbuy portal I will get 1k voucher.

It was suppose dto be sent after 90 days as Standard T&Cs are in such promos (I have made purchases in March, April and May because of such promos too)
but I never got any vouchers and I had forgotten about it until I got newer emails which promised vouchers too.

I raised this with Gyftr and HDFC and even through grievance Redressala nd they kept giving me new dates (15th, 21st and 28th July) to resolve this and finally today they are asking to submit proof of email or SMS of this.
No where does it say that the customer has to fllow up and also provide proof for these vouchers.
The bank is shameless that they have FAILED and on top of that telling me on my face INDIRECTLY That I am a liar by asking for prooof from 7 months ago Which I do not have (I have saved all subsequent emails after this instance)
I have laready escalated this to RBI ombudsman yesterday and also wrote to PNO (They have separate PNO zone wise and city wise) so I escalated this to the Ahmedabad one as thats the 3rd elevel fo escalation after grievance redressal. Anything else Ic an do besides this?
they are already late for March purchase promo vouchers as well since those should have arrived on 1st July.
 
HDFC is Quite good in fulfilling Such Spends Based Offers .

Sometimes many Customers even received Vouchers for offers unknown to them.

With HDFC I never raised Complaints w.r.t. Fulfimemt of Spend Based offers.

I too got Smartbuy Promocode offers and HDFC Fulfiled each of them automatically in 90 days time frame.

It may be possible that you missed the Tncs.

For me TnCs were like this :-

Spend XXX amount on Smartbuy
and
Txn Count should be XX No. of tnxs on Smartbuy

It is possible that You had fulfilled Spend Criteria but Txn Count Criteria was not fulfilled .

So recall what were the Exact Tncs
 
I have a few emails that all say just the transaction amount. Never received anything about no. of transactions. Here rae the other ones that I have saved after this fiasco.View attachment 24234
But this condition is for latest offer.

Usually in case of HDFC Spend based offers, Only Spend Amount and Voucher Amount may differ and rest of Tncs remains same.

After Feb'23 , I did not received such Smartbuy Voucher offers again but till Feb'23 I am sure Txn Count criteria is present in Tncs.
 
Yes the emails I have still from March onwards have the link which I click and this page shows up.
So no matter what email I look at - March, April or june, All lins land on this page only.

Could not agree more. It is the terms that we miss most of the times.

Happened with me during an sbi offer where they gave some Rs 1500 cashback on spends of Rs 10000.

I spent some Rs 11500 but did not get the cashback.

After going through the offer once more, it was written online which I missed and happened to do the spends at an offline store.

My bad but lesson learnt.

Yes, HDFC sends the vouchers timely.

I receive the vouchers timely, so do my friends and lot of other community members.

Either you have not fulfilled the T&Cs or your transaction is not being tracked. Perhaps you have disabled the cookies on your browser setting.
I would suggest you to check if you missed anything from your end.

Since these offers are card specific, make sure you have received the promo mail for the card you used for transaction.

Which site did you transacted in? Which browser do you use?

I have transacted online on Smartbuy. I use Chrome mostly and I use Adblockers but not sure of the cookies being blocked.
I have had a HDFC moneyback credit card and I did spend 5 lakhs/month for almost a year (60 lakhs+) in total and so was upgraded to HDFC Diners Black LTF.

All my other cards ever since (HDFC tata neu and UPI Virtual Ones) are free as well and I did receive vouchers on my spends for Moneyback every month without any issue but its just with Diners that I have not got any.

The T&Cs were always simple. Spend 10k, 5k, 2k on Smartbuy and that included purchase of vouchers which I have done all the time.
But the fact that Indians are by default assumed to be scammers and liars and have to provide proof when that is not a part of T&Cs is ridiculous.
Why should I follow up and present proofs when the bank is at fault here. (I got a pixel 7 in January so I do not have the SMS for this Dec promo) and I am not sure if I had got an email or SMS of the same.

I see that you use Adblockers and I guess this is the culprit here. Adblockers work by disabling the cookies of every site. All your transactions are tracked via cookies, so if it is blocked then it can't be tracked.

The promo mentions the card's last 4 digit. Do confirm if the last 4 digit is of MoneyBack or DCB.
Since you are also telling that you are not getting any voucher for DCB, it might be possible that the upgraded card details are not synced properly in their backend. But its probability is least.

The chances of Adblockers being the culprit is more than 90%.

I see that you use Adblockers and I guess this is the culprit here. Adblockers work by disabling the cookies of every site. All your transactions are tracked via cookies, so if it is blocked then it can't be tracked.

The DCB has been with me for last 3 years. I get most offers for that only. Tata neu was acquired 4-5 months ago. But all my offers were for DCB only. Moneyback is not being used for 3 years now. the upgarde was offered when HDFC was banned by RBI to get any new customers and they gave all existing customers nice updates. The adblockers might be the only issue.
Regardless, the iussue is mentality.
INDIANS ARE SCAMMERS. They will lie, cheat and the ONUS is on them to prove that there was a promo.
That SHIT IS JUST UNACCEPTABLE and probably will never change for generations.
I have lived in Australia for 4 years and I never had any such issue. I have been back for 10 years and I still have my Aussie Citibank active till date. 0 ISSUES. I have received 3 debit cards (so far, after expiration of the current card) in India for that account and also have used my Indian mob number for OTPs and have the Inida address. Thats service.

Indain banks are BULLSHIT and total garbage.

Agreed. The service of Indian bank is not comparable with International banks like Citibank.

But here in your case, they would not be able to find any details in their system since it was not tracked. So they are asking proof for it.

Look at this way, what if I email the same thing to them? My details will not be in their system obviously like it is not there for yours. So, isn't it right that they ask for proofs so that they can proceed further and escalate to further authorities.

If you provide proofs, they can even escalate the issues to Flipkart, or other sites and provide you with the promised vouchers. Without proofs how will they escalate the issue to the companies like flipkart. They can't just simply say that a Customer is mailing me for not sending the promised vouchers. How will they know which company to mail. Since nothing is tracked by their system.

There are other affiliate marketing companies that do escalate the issue to companies for orders not being tracked. But without proofs, they won't be able to.
 
I have 3 classic account with HDFC in my family. But only i receive offer updates on my mail. Offers like spends on credit or debit card of my account. On my parents mail id only account's monthly statement comes. Is there a way to turn on the offers mail on my parents account too ? If anyone knows a way, kindly let me know.
