Health and Term Insurance by Amex - February 2025

Pals,

Started receiving calls from Amex for Health and Term insurance tied up with ICICI Lombard. Policy is quite attractive but couldn't commit due to worthiness.

Has anyone taken it? Is it worthy? your thoughts please

Are you sure its proper Term Life & Health insurance policy and not some ULIP etc.

The best and only health insurance policy which can be recommended by icici Lombard is icici elevate other plans are not worth so first do some research.

And no I haven't taken any such thing.

Kindly also share that attractive Health and Term insurance policy t&c document so that everyone can review it and gave their valuable suggestions.

I also received the same call today. Need some clarity/suggestions from people who have already availed such plans with Amex.

Eg) what's should we lookout for ? Any catch if we take term policy via amex with icici etc. What else to lookout before agreeing to go for the plan enrollment. Any Pro's and cons that you are aware of .

Thanks !

Not spam but in response to people and op asking on opinion about icici health insurance: For health insurance no other policy apart from optima secure hdfc ergo is worth it imo. Its expensive but hands down the best policy in india

Term Insurance will be serviced by Insurance co. Amex doesn't do anything after sale
Med insurance they say are cheaper / will support claims however will be a hit / miss..

@Zacobite Thanks for mentioning it. I did check with them today on Term insurance, Plan is from ICICI Lombard but entire communication/claim settlement etc.. do happen only with Amex and not ICICI.

i have bought term insurance from them.. they made a mistake in my name.. i had to run around.. no support from amex ( i had plat charge at that time)..,. finally i got it done via insurance co on my own in person at service centre.. so imagine what they will do after you... After that i stopped premium auto debit.. and i work directly with ins co.. personal experience..
