Using HPCL Energie credit card,

Paid at HP petrol pumps Rs. 500, they did not reverse the surcharge or give accelerated rewards.

When contacted their CRM, they said the pumps are not in their 'MID' list. When I identified one of them successfully on HPCL website, they said surcharge will be waived but no accelerated rewards for UPI transactions.

Why different treatment for UPI when it is recognised otherwise as fuel transaction, is it part of their policy or just arbitrary and can be challenged? It appears discriminatory.

Who told you to pay through UPI ? Direct use your card na.

AFAIK, everyone using BOB HPCL Card through HP pay app.

Banks credit card softwares are not fully integrate with UPI yet. Wait few years, Slowly they will integrate everything.

Yes, from now on I will.

On HP Pay, no 5% rewards, no surcharge waiver or accelerated reward points right as per the card page?

The page also says "UPI transactions are eligible only for core reward points. Maximum of 500 reward points can be earned in a Statement cycle on UPI spends. UPI spends do not qualify for joining rewards & annual fee waiver"

Idiots!
