Help needed with some info

In the evening I received a message from Indian post that a consignment has been booked .
( This consignment does not belong to me )
After tracking the details I found it's not in my location.(Some other state)
Consignment is booked to some other location.
I am confused is it a mistake of the department or something else.

Most probably it's typing mistake on the part of post. While consignment booking, by mistake a digit or two of the mobile number was type wrongly by mistake.

They could have typed your number by mistake.

- The remarkable aspect of the Indian postal service is that I ordered an Aadhaar PVC card, and it was promptly delivered within 4 days. However, a week later, I received a notification stating that the article number had been booked and the delivery was expected in 7 days. Curiously, when I checked the Indian Post website, it indicated that the item had already been delivered. Upon cross-referencing the ABW number, I realized that it indeed corresponded to my PVC card.
