Help regarding removal of Late payment of cc bill from CIBIL

My friend had received an HDFC Moneyback Rupay credit card last year, which he didn't use as he wanted a Visa card since he was traveling overseas frequently. He got the renewal fees of Rs590 this January which he ignored thinking that he hadn't used the card, so he doesn't have to pay it. In May he got a call from the bank and finally paid the bill. Now he has a 113 day delayed payment history on his CIBIL report, which has taken his credit score down to 615. Is it possible to get the late payment history removed from CIBIL, since it was a small sum? If possible please guide. Thanks.
