Help required regarding passport police verification

Hi everyone,
Today, I (19) had passport police verification scheduled at my nearby police station. I currently reside in Maharashtra and my hometown is in Haryana. Permanent address is in Maharashtra, place of birth Haryana. I was asked to present my Passport form (received from passport office), birth certificate, rent agreement (on father’s name) and Aadhaar, along with my marksheets. Post checking these documents, the policeman asked me to provide either of my parent’s Birth certificate, school migration certificate or domicile certificate. As far as I know, one isn’t asked for these docs (at least from what I know from those around me). My parents (both over 50) have neither of those.
1) They were never provided birth certificates because they didn’t exist back then
2) Migration certificates are impossible to present as they are submitted at the next institute you attend
3) Domicile certificate can’t be obtained because we haven’t lived here for long enough.

The policeman was obstinate about these documents and refused to complete my verification without these. Has anyone else gone through these? Asked some people around and they suspect he’s trying to get a bribe.
PS: my parents have their permanent addresses in Haryana

Happy to provide details if that helps. Asked me to provide the documents tomorrow or it can’t be helped. I’m fine with the application going back to the PSK if this is a bullshit requirement.

Same here offer money don't waste time else they will send file back.
My appointment in psk in after week then let's see

You'll have to visit RPO after the rejection letter and fill up the form.
I too decided not to bribe him as I had everything required for the passport. Moreover he was an arrogant tard! Said " iska 2000 hua" showing 2 fingers. I showed him one

Is it easy to obtain the passport after this?

If you do everything right. Yes.
Fill up the information correctly will save you another visit. AND fill the details for which you can furnish the documents. Like if you fill up Haryana anywhere you will have to visit Haryana for verification too. So Avoid that too.
Regional Passport Office are sort of head passport office for a region and your case will be assigned to a particular RPO which covers your area.
And prior to RPO visit you have to take an appointment like you did for PSK.

Policemen common tactics to take bribe.

Even my mother's police verification is pending coz the police guy is asking for her birth certificate which has her place of birth mentioned. Since she didn't have her birth certificate, the application status mentioned 'Police verification not clear. File assigned to RPO'. Post that yesterday, again she received a message that her police verification has been reinitiated. Any help/suggestion what can be done now? Any other document which I can show as proof for place of birth?

Go through the document requirement I don't think that's even required. And he won't even care, same happened in my case too.
But they need something to squeeze anything out from our pocket.

See Part C (point a iii) here- that's what he seems to be asking from you.

What should I do now?

If one of your parents don't have an existing passport, then the only realistic option is try and get their school leaving certificate.

Or some kind of proof from the Panchayat (dunno what exactly) that states one of your parents were born in India
