i have never used rewards points on credit cards to buy airmiles, so need some help in understanding.

i have 5k rewards points in my diners black.
air vistara is showing this table for points conversion. dcb conversion ratio is 1:1.

does that mean that i will be able to buy a flight ticket (vistara only) worth 5k using these accumulated points and transferring them to vistara miles?

so i have 3 options:
1) redeem dcb points on smart buy portal to book flights. will have to pay 30% out of my own pocket.
2) redeem them on vistara miles. downside: only vistara flights will be booked.
3) redeem on intermiles: miles to rupees ratio 3:2... see image attached. so 5k points will give me 3.3k worth of points and the upside is that i can book other company flights also.
i only fly domestic and mostly indigo or vistara.

which options seem to be the best considering all hidden charges, and are there any other options that i am missing? Screenshot_20221017-171058.png Screenshot_20221017-171723.png

Can anyone explain here step by step procedure of redeeming reward points by converging them into airmiles or club vistara points

Procedure varies from bank to bank. For HDFC, you can do that through their reward redemption portal, you just need the CV / IM member ID and expiration date to fill in the form

If I have say 40K Axis Edge rewards, converting them to Club Vistara at a ratio of 5:4 will give me 32K Vistara points.

On checking for a sample route between Delhi and Mumbai - Vistara shows that a one-way award ticket will need 5K points, and a round-trip ticket hence costing 10K points. (plus convenience fees+ taxes if any)
I use the same, book the flight and my residual balance now comes to 22K points.

Is my understanding of the above correct? Does Vistara discriminate against award tickets? - Is there difficulty in finding Award seats or is it as simple as finding a seat if you were paying for the airline ticket with your card?

No, there are only few say 3-6 award tickets per flight depending on class. If they are over, u can't use them. So, if journey date is very close or festivals, u may not get them.

Although, I see it is more easily available compared to Singapore airlines flights. So, demand seem less.

if planning at least 20-25 days in advance? how good or bad is the availability?

It seems fine. You can check urself after making club vistara account.
account is there with 0 points.

checked for random dates. it showed 5K points plus some taxes and then said you don't have points can not proceed. not sure if it was showing me points cost factoring in the award seat availability or not.

I think it does.
It does show points only for the award flights.. If Economy seat is available, it will show 5k points, otherwise higher points for higher classes. If no award seats available for the whole day, then it will display something like "No flights available for the booking date" and show the nearest available date
