For credit cards - The RBI has instructed banks to partner with at least two card networks. The majority of cards should be distributed across two networks. This requirement was introduced to avoid situations like when Mastercard faced a ban, leading banks such as Yes Bank, Axis Bank, RBL Bank and Federal Bank to temporarily halt issuing credit cards.

Where did you find this in rbi circular? Rbi circular mentions no such thing. Does RBL/yes/Federal Bank even have 10L active cards? Unless they do, this directive doesn't apply to them.

Credit Card networks often enter into exclusive agreements, which prevent banks from partnering with other networks. Such agreements are no longer allowed to be signed.

This doesn't mean each cc has to be issued in multiple networks. This is sort of a law against anti competitive activity. If tomorrow diners threatens hdfc that either hdfc must stop issuing millenia in visa(meaning they can only issue in diners nw), else diner will stop issuing coveted DCB ; following which hdfc really does. Then that would be illegal.
It was already illegal through anti trust/fair competition laws.
Just that RBI has reiterated for this particular instance due to public interest leaving no room for multiple interpretation by businesses. Sadly now people( & so called finfluencer/journalists ) are still interpreting this straight forward circular as per their wish.

Yes.
My all 3 Sapphiro, 4 Rubyx and 2 Coral have been gifted by Twitter Team.

Just now applied for LTF Rubyx Rupay manually from their website. I wanted to apply for sapphiro Rupay (since I hold LTF of all variants of Sapphiro) but Sapphiro Rupay is showing chargeable to me so I went ahead with Rubyx Rupay.

Surprisingly my Sapphiro LTF has CL of 5.5L and Rubyx Rupay Credit card which I applied today has 6L CL!!

Hoping that ICICI auto upgrades my newly applied Rubyx Rupay CC to Sapphiro Rupay so that I hold LTF variants of Sapphiro (Rupay + MC + Amex + Visa)

As many of you know, Sapphiro Rupay is showing on ICICI website from last few weeks. When it appeared at first, many people contacted cc and tried to get their variant changed but were unsuccessful. Has anyone tried to get it recently?

This is not an actual card image. ICICI use this image for indicative only.

The actual variant will be known only when someone gets the card.

Just got a call from ICICI CC after emailing and twittering them to change my Sapphiro card to Rupay network.

Even though the card is showing up on the ICICI website, they told me it might take one more month for them to issue the Sapphiro Rupay variant for existing customers. Asked me to remind them if they don't revert back.
