Highly risky update! Brands are now officially onboarding themselves in our TF Community

TF Legend
Dear TF Community members,
As you all already know, some bankers and senior bank employees were previously spying in our forum for tracking certain exploited bugs/loopholes and also individual profiles based on certain criteria.
Now, from today onwards, I have noticed an unusual profile with the name of Gyftrhelp which is addressing people's concerns, doubts and queries regarding gyftr, and using officially templated replies in formal lingo.
I have confirmed that this account is the official account of Gyftr and they have officially onboarded themselves here.
This can be hint/alarm for all of you, why only in the recent times, we were facing restriction for purchasing vouchers on Gyftr, like the limit introduced for new accounts, such as 15k in first 15 days, 30k in 30days, and so on. Even this is the culprit, why Apay GC Limit keeps on changing frequently. ASV was devalued from 50k to 25k.
This is a very alarming and scary news at the same time, because the goal of this forum was to informally discuss certain CC related benefits, and updates among ourselves as consumers, but now onboarding of brands/banks will lead to the closure of many offers/ reducing of many limits/ and whatnot. Now, everything will be under their close watch and radar.
Previously also I had written a warning post regarding the same, but no action was taken. Now it's high time if we wish to safeguard our interests, and maintain this lovely forum among ourselves.

1682353932982.png 1682353975219.png We have few senior members among us who is having quite good knowledge and experiences in this field like @gurbina @Kenu73 who can further enlighten on how to overcome this problem.
Please do share what can be the possible consequences: @Credit Karma @CREDITDATA and other members as well.
I humbly request @TechnoFino @Subhankar to look into this matter seriously because the now TF community is not a small/tiny forum, it has grown manifolds and the amount of data available here is huge, for any bank to impose limitations and restrictions on it's products/services, and leading to multiple severe outcomes. Please introduce some barrier to entry in the forum or we'll have to find a unique solution to tackle this.
Taking leave, and hope my suggestions/views are looked upon.
Regards
A CC Enthusiast

Well, most people aren't here to follow rules exactly. Everyone is just looking after themselves.

Most TF users here to squeeze the benefits of their credit cards even when going against ToS , using it "commercially" (buying or paying services for a business/others, buying and selling goods/gold, etc), rotating money by loading wallets and withdrawing or doing illegitimate rental payments (or similar) to themselves or family/friends, among others.

Members here have taken it like a sport to go through all these hoops to get as many rewards as possible without spending any money, let alone to use the card as per intended. It's literally free "money" for them. You can literally see guides on how to rotate money and pass it as spending by using 5 different wallets and payment gateways.

The banks didn't expect or intend for such a high percentage or large amount of Magnus users to get the milestone just like that. That's losses to the bank past a certain point (or at least losing revenue on certain users/transactions/misuse), they've gotten probably past a point of what they intended and calculated to be the customer base and money flows.

Probably a very large chunk of the current customer base are all getting the milestone and a LOT of points from Gyftr, GrabDeals. Many must be averaging 50k points a month when maxing the current benefits out with as little "investment" as possible. And by using it commercially they are probably in the lakhs of points.

On top of that the partnerships they have are getting affected, their whole idea is increase their customer base and promote organic spending but that is not the case as you can see by the dozens of threads that involves partner brands into this points churning thing.

So the logical step for them (banks and partners) is to address those issues.

The only ones getting punished are legitimate users and not anyone else which wasn't the intended audience, let alone usage.

You could say these users are the ones damaging the rest of us rather than the brands, banks. They (banks and partners) are just addressing the misuse on their products, services, partnerships.

Please tell me what data you have entered while signing up? Just your email and name, anything else?
Your email id and name is already available publicly.

The profile was using a Gmail email id, and we restricted access to the profile already because it was looking suspicious.

The data is not just email or name but our activity (browsing) on the forum, just like Google is not as much interested in personal info as it is in tracking our activity (browsing, location etc.)

It's a public platform, your post is available publicly. We don't track your location, or browsing data. Started this forum and CreditPedia application to safeguard our data. We don't sell, not intended to sell our data.
So don't worry about this.
