How HDFC seemingly deceived RBI, resulting in closure of my complaint

I have been following this forum since quite a few months now. And I wish to share my story of RBI complaint ( which I was inspired to file after reading RBI Banking complaint related threads on this forum )

In my case, the RBI has closed my complaint without properly evaluating what I had said.

Before proceeding further I wish to ask All Pixel Credit Card holders - Are you guys receiving monthly email statements to your registered email ??

Now proceeding to my case ( which I had filed cause I am not receiving Email Statements in pdf on my registered email for Pixel Card )

Dec end - I raised PayZapp support ticket stating I had not received email Statement for the month of Dec. ( the bill had already been generated )


The support replies stating that the Email has already been sent and tell me to check my Spam Folder ( that's weird, but okay I thought....) I checked my Inbox and my Spam folder once again. No email was received by me.
As usual it is with the PayZapp support, they closed my ticket and I had to manually raise it again. This went on for some time with the Support ignoring my replies and insisting that the registered email Statement was sent on Bill generation date itself. While I had checked my mailbox thoroughly, I hadn't received it.

Also, just to be clear - I receive all OTP and Debit Transaction emails on my registered address. I also receive payment credit emails as well. Only the monthly email statement I didn't receive.

Somewhere in January - I finally received an email Statement. The PayZapp support did not reply to the ticket though. But when I tried opening the Pdf, it did not open. ( looks corrupted to me ). I even downloaded and then tried opening, but still got error.

I informed this to Support team on PayZapp and they were still unable to send me a proper email statement.

Finally, I raised a complain to the RBI BO.

March - I finally receive a proper email after my RBI complaint from the PNO Desk of the Bank.

Hdfc submitted the response that they had provided email statement on Bill generation date itself ( wow, then where the hell did the stmts go if they didn't reach my inbox!!) and also sent me statement over email multiple times.

I sent my clarification to the RBI BO, stating - I did not receive Email Stmt on Bill generation date and this was informed by me to the RE. The one email I received, had a corrupted pdf which did not open. Even this was informed by me to the RE.
I also confirmed the Stmt received by me in March, sent by PNO Desk, after my complaint to RBI.

Despite all this clarification the RBI closed my complaint stating the below.

Where the hell did the Statements go then??? IF the RE sent it multiple times. And what about the corrupted pdf they sent which never opened ??

Opinions, comments are welcome.

And once again I am stating - I receive all debit transaction emails, OTP's ( if I decide to request them, instead of using that Swipe thing in App ) & also Bill Payment Credit. But not email Statements.

My complaint is also closed by rbi based on wrong and false information submitted by hdfc...there is no option to file appeal.

This is new ninja technique from hdfc to handle rbi complaints
 
email statements are not that important for me....i'll go and download from netbanking...
I am talking for Pixel Cc. It becomes a useless task to download them in phone and then transfer them to PC.

I was once of this same opinion. Until I noticed in a downloaded pixel Statement that at least 5 transactions were completely mismatched for the Transaction date. So, now I feel convenience when the stmt is automatically sent for my cards. At least, I can have a look once in month. No need for manual reminders/ download of statement

you can download on phone and email it to yourself....amex also doesn't send email statements on email afaik...no one goes to rbi for it...

How can there be mismatch in transaction date? Did you raise this issue with customer support by sharing proof of transaction?

Yuppp there is!!!
I did raise the issue with PayZapp Support itself by raising a ticket. Talking about proof, PayZapp doesn't allow screenshots BUTT, I have taken another phone and recorded the transactions visible on the App. ( attaching 2 screenshots for reference. One from app, one from Stmt )

The refunds which have been shown in the first pic are not there in the transactions of my App. AND that's because I never received those refunds on the dates mentioned in the email. I received them on a completely different date. AND NO , they do not correspond to the Transaction for which the refund is received. ( even if they did, how can the date on which the refund was received be changed ??? )

This is just once screenshot. There are a few more transactions which are mismatched. I was so :dizzy-face: while checking it, that I had to manually sit and write every transaction date the App was showing and then compare it to the Email Statement received.

The PayZapp support is once again alleging they sent have sent me updated pdf in mail. But I haven't received it.
 
actually, (& maybe for the first time) Hdfc's application is working fine. The transaction date in App is 100% correct.

In email statement it is wrong

Appears they have mixed up transaction and posting timestamp. Bug in the application.
only they know what tf is the problem. My refund date does not even fall within the same billing cycle/ month. They have messed the posting timestamp by an ENTIRE monthly cycle!!

Anyways, I will be closing this card soon. I am done with the Pixel cc
