How long does it take for the refund on a HDFC RuPay Credit Card UPI transaction to reflect?

Hi, folks!

Yesterday, I returned an order on Flipkart worth ₹100, which was paid with my Tata Neu Infinity RuPay credit card UPI through PhonePe.

As soon as the refund was initiated by Flipkart, I immediately got a notification from PhonePe about the refund. But so far it doesn't reflect in the credit card's current statement yet.

Can anybody let me know how long does it usually take to reflect an HDFC credit card UPI transaction's refund?

I also faced a similar situation, I ordered a product in cred on 18-9-23. Even after 5 days, the product was not even shipped, so I cancelled on 23-9-23. Refund reflected only after 27 or 28 (i don't remember exactly), but the refund date was mentioned as 18-9-23.

So the refund for the txn done using the HDFC RuPay CC UPI on Flipkart is reflecting now. It was initiated by Flipkart on 8th Oct, and is reflecting today. But the transaction date in the statement is of the original transaction date instead of the date of refund.

I think it works like this - because we didn't receive the goods/services (in your case you returned) so the merchant reports it to the bank to give effect on the same date of transaction.
