how much salary should i take to get best cards at least tax?

i have option to work in my cousin's company for 6 months. i want to know what is the highest amount of salary i can get without paying taxes??

since i join in jan, can i take 1.7L as monthly salary until june and still stay under that 7L tax free limit after deduction since it is two financial years. i will opt out of epf and give the form 13 stating lower income (stating less than 7L a year) to avoid tds. are there any more deductions that i need to know about?? i have not had a job income this year or next year after june.

is my idea good or can i optimize more?? i can also get 2.5L salary for 3 months and apply for DCBM and then get paycut after march to avoid taxes in 2025-26 FY. what do you guys think? i am not going to be employed in this country for the next few years anyway so i am not worried about that.

Your priorities are all wrong. Is it worth doing something like this just to get a premium card that’ll save you like 2-3% more than another card you could attain? Just go with whatever will get you the most money in hand at the end of the year. Most of these banks are very lax with their salary requirements anyway.

im not doing for just a card i have to do it for various reasons getting a card is just bonus

You could potentially get a higher in-hand salary if you have the option for deductions. Try asking your CA once about it. I think you will need like 2-3 months of salary for most banks to get their cards and what not. Don't get american express charge cards, they will do a financial review and block you lol
