Pensioner 'Digital Life Certificate' @ Home 🏠

pension life certificate.webp

If you’re a pensioner, or you have a pensioner at home, this might save you a lot of time, stress and unnecessary hassle.

Every year in November, pensioners are required to submit their Life Certificate to the bank. And every year, I’ve seen countless senior citizens struggle… some falling ill just because they had to physically visit the bank for this one task.
It’s heartbreaking.

But this time - NO MORE!

Pensioners can now submit their Life Certificate ONLINE, right from home using just a mobile phone.
👉 No bank visit
👉 No scanner
👉 No complicated setup

Download both the apps.

Jeevan Pramaan
Uidai Face Scan

Now Face scan is working properly!!!

Without Biometric Scan Device, it's very easy this time. !!

You Can help Senior citizen people in family, friends, relatives or Sr people in nearby surrounding !!!

(Process drafted by AI )

Step 1: Install the necessary apps

  • Download and install the official Jeevan Pramaan app from your phone's app store.
  • Download and install the Aadhaar Face RD app from your phone's app store. This app handles the face recognition process for the Jeevan Pramaan application.

Step 2: Operator Authentication (with your face)
  • Open the Jeevan Pramaan app and proceed to the operator authentication page.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number.
  • Tick the Aadhaar consent checkbox and click "Submit".
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number; enter the OTP to authenticate.
  • The app will now prompt you to scan your face using the front camera. Open the Aadhaar Face RD app when prompted.
  • Follow the instructions in the Aadhaar Face RD app, such as blinking and holding still, to complete the face scan successfully.
  • Once the face scan is complete, you will be redirected back to the Jeevan Pramaan app.

Step 3: Pensioner Authentication and Certificate Generation
  • On the pensioner authentication page, enter the pensioner's Aadhaar number and mobile number.
  • Click "Submit" and wait for another OTP on the mobile number.
  • Enter this OTP to authenticate the pensioner.
  • Fill in all required pensioner details, including their name, PPO number, pension account number, and the disbursing agency.
  • Verify the necessary declarations and submit the form.
  • If successful, a Digital Life Certificate will be generated, and you will receive a confirmation SMS with the Pramaan-ID on the registered mobile number.

Thanks 👍, actually it's really helpful for Sr people, who have difficulty moving or some other challenge.

Ultra useful app for all the senior citizens and their family members (who have to arrange/accompany them to pension offices). Been using this + face recognition since last year.

I have seen a challenge though because of basis sarkari department letharginess. Just sharing as information if it can help anybody.

So, Jeevan Praman certificate data (name, DOB, gender) is based out of Aadhar, while the Treasure or pension office data is based out of respective department records. So, if there are mismatches in this data like name spelling, DOB, gender, etc (which has high probability bcz its sarkari system) - then the Jeevan Pramaan wont get approved/accepted automatically, and you may need to go and ask them to accept/approve basis the quantum of error/data mismatch.

So, suggested step would be to get the records rectified so that everything is same in Aadhar as well as Pension office - so as to avoid any future hassles.

@RAMESH BABU N Sir are you done with Digital Life Certificate, submission in the current year.
What method you adopted.

Yess, I did it in Oct 2024 on android.... had to install JP app and a face reader enabler (i think it was faceRD only)...... got the jeevanPraman generated in a few attempts and all the PPO data was also available on the app. (it comes on the last step, when we enter PPO number). Faced the above mentioned data mismatch challenge though but they did it on the basis of 2 line declaration on the Jeevan Praman certificate only, and did not ask the senior citizen to come and resubmit the physical form. But yeah, this arrangement would differ heavily from official to official, even in the same city or state, so pretty subjective.

I used Jeevan Pramaan App.

SBI joined Jeevan Pramaan - even for STAFF PENSIONERS.

So, it was easy n glitch-free.

SBI got a huge HRMS website - for current staff as well as for staff-pensioners. This App also has a live-video-chat feature to submit the yearly life certificate. My wife used that feature.

In addition to these 2 easy ways, we can always go to the nearest SBI branch and physically fill up a form n complete the yearly ritual.

In all the 3 modes, we get email confirmation.

Thank you for sharing your inputs Sir.

Retired Pensioner's, who are getting pension in SBI, submitting form to Nearest SBI branch is the very convenient method and practical.

On 3rd November itself I took my mother to the nearest Indian Bank Branch to finish this process. She anyway needs to sign two applications, One is Staff Pension another one is Family Pensioner.

Dont Know do they joined Jeevan Pranam or not.

Better Update the Main post with the firms who are joined. Which helps much better.

It is Jeevan Pramaan (not pranam).
It's a Govt of India initiative.
Many Central/State/PSU/Banks/Other Organizations have joined it since inception. Many are joining now.

All details are available in their website or in the App. All those details or info can not be posted or discussed here - in this thread.

Those interested can get the App n get going.
