How to buy foreign currency using Credit Card (Is MakeMyTrip forex a good option)

I have foreign trip coming up and would like to buy the required foreign currency using my credit card to use it to reach my magnus milestone.

Any suggestions on the best way to do that ?

I see MakeMyTrip is accepting credit card for foreign currency. But have seen som bad reviews online about it. Have anyone used it recently?

i have makemytrip forex card and it has worked properly at foreign atms i had given it to my family member for use

Hi, while purchasing foreign currency notes, did Thomas Cook or the Payment Gateway charge extra (as opposed to payment via netbanking or UPI) for online payment through Magnus Credit Card?

Yeah.. but that was minimal (guess it was 1 to 1.5 %).

Yes of course you have to send them an unload request if it doesn’t have transfer functionality like niyo

Very expensive to get forex by paying Mark up fees and card charges.
Better to pay in INR and on ivr.

Would suggest to avoid. From July 1st 20% tcs will be applicable and it would be violation of both taxation rules and credit card fair usage policy

Also online portals require proof of travel with pan etc lot of hassle for an activity which would come back to bite later anyway
