How to Earn 10X Reward Points on Flight or Train Bookings Using HDFC Infinia, DCB & Biz Black Credit Card? Loophole

Big thanks to all of you for helping me complete the Google Pay Laddoos game without lifting a finger! Yep, the awesome TFC members donated all the laddoos I needed, and guess what? I got a whopping Rs. 4 cashback from Google Pay. They initially mentioned a minimum of Rs. 51 as cashback, but changed it to Rs. 1 later on. 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, I promised to share a loophole if I managed to collect all the laddoos as donations. So here I am, ready to spill the trick!

Did you know you can earn 10X Reward Points on Flight or Train Bookings using the HDFC Infinia Credit Card? Officially, it’s 5X on flights through SmartBuy and 3X on train tickets. But, there's a way to earn 10X on both!

Here’s the trick:

1. Book a hotel for a future date on MMT via HDFC SmartBuy to earn 10X reward points on your HDFC Infinia, Diners Black, or Biz Black Credit Card.
2. Make sure to select a room that’s 100% refundable.
3. After booking, go to the MMT website or app directly (logged in with the same email and mobile number you used on SmartBuy). Using your original MMT credentials on SmartBuy helps.
4. Cancel the booking on MMT. When prompted, select “MMT Wallet (My Cash)” for the refund instead of refund to original payment source (HDFC Bank Credit Card).
5. Use the wallet balance for booking your flight or train ticket, and voilà – 10X reward points on your HDFC Infinia/DCB/Biz Black Credit Card!

Yep still remember and he did a huge amount on easemytrip...I think this was when we had the BHIM offers.

Since how many months u have been using it? From what I understand, hdfc smartbuy on mmt works based on affiliate program. So, if u cancel the booking on mmt even in mmt wallet, it will not give any commision to hdfc and then hdfc can reverse the points in 3-4 months.

So, unless it has been over 6 months for u, I would say wait and watch 😉.

This used to be loop hole but stopped 7-8 months ago. Now if you book MMT hotel via smartbuy then this will not reflect in MMT app/site even if you are using same email and mobile. MMT segregated B2C and B2B transaction quite a few months back.

If anyone tried yatra or cleartrip, please update here. Both of them don't allow train bookings though. Still 10x on flight will be nice.

I have tried cleartrip before but the booking doesnt show on the cleartrip portal. not sure if i am missing something
