Just directly redeem on smartbuy. Easiest way. And you wont be forced to stay at any particular chain, you can choose any hotel/flight, even budget ones and redeem

1RP = 0.5Rs

You can only redeem upto 70% of the booking amount using points, but you do get 5x/10x RPs on the remaining 30% for flights/hotels. There's also a charge of 99+gst

It's good if you have a lot of points like at least 40-50k points. For Regalia, direct redemption at smartbuy is better
