How to report a wrong hard enquiry?

AsB

TF Legend
There was a hard enquiry on my CIBIL report, regarding a personal loan from Northern Arc , but, I never applied for such a loan. I didn't even know that such a company exists, until this enquiry.

I tried contacting them (Northern Arc) through Twitter, through Email, through their Contact Us option, but got no response. I tried writing to CIBIL, but they said that they will require banks to authorize the removal.

I cannot go to RBI directly, as RBI requires one to file a complaint with the Institution first, and only if no resolution is provided, or resolution is not acceptable, then one can file a complaint with RBI.

What other options do I have?

Did you apply for a Slice card or had applied previously and got waitlisted? Northern Arc capital (Also reported as IFMR Technonologies previously) is one of the financing partners for Slice.

Yes. That could be. I had applied for Slice Card last year. And even then , it was not available for my pincode. But, could be that they have added my pincode.

But the enquiry was on CRIF, not on CIBIL, and it was instantaneous. I just checked.
Yeah Slice uses CRIF for enquiries. But they do report to all bureaus 3-4 months after issuing you a card.
Slice is currently not that attractive. If you ask me, I would probably never get into Slice or any BNPL at this point unless you don't have a credit score yet and cannot get a credit card.

If you would like to cancel your process with Slice, I think you need to email them and ask them to delete your application in case you are not planning to go ahead. If they ask a reason, you are not obligated to give a reason. You can tell them "I am not obligrated to disclose a particular reason. I have decided not to go ahead with this application and I would like to have my application deleted."

I got to know about the wonders of the BNPL cards long after. When I had applied for Slice, I had no other card. I have already cancelled their request.
