If you’re an ICICI Bank credit cardholder, you’ve probably noticed that the iMobile app is one of the most user-friendly platforms out there for managing both bank accounts and credit cards. One of its useful features is the ability to check your annual fee waiver progress based on your spending — a small but smart addition for cardholders aiming to avoid the annual fee.
I first came across this thanks to a helpful post by Satish Kumar Agarwal on X.
Here’s how you can check your fee waiver status.
1. Open the iMobile app and select your credit card.
2. Under the "Latest Bill" tab, you’ll find a "% Offers" button next to your reward points summary - tap on it.
3. On the following screen, head over to the "Rewards" tab. Click the drop-down menu and you’ll spot an "Explore More" button - select it.
4. The detailed card information will be displayed here. If you have multiple cards, you can swipe left or right to switch between them.
In my case, I checked this for my "Sapphiro Mastercard", and the app displayed a clear spend tracker showing how much I’ve spent so far and how much more is needed to qualify for the annual fee waiver. I am attaching a screenshot. Interestingly, none of my LTF (Lifetime Free) cards displayed this section — which makes sense, since those shouldn’t require any waiver tracking.
Why this feature is useful:
For those holding paid cards, this is a super convenient way to monitor your fee waiver status, especially for cards that come with complex spend-based waiver conditions and a long list of exclusions (you know who 🪓☺️). It saves you from having to contact customer care for manual confirmations.
But here’s where it gets tricky:
Despite the app showing a spend-based waiver tracker for my Sapphiro card, mine is actually an "LTF card". I had received an email confirmation about this at the time of issuance nearly a year ago. I reconfirmed it via email that the LTF status still holds.
So while the feature is great, it’s worth keeping in mind that the tracker might not always reflect the correct fee status. I hope this information helps fellow TF community members, particularly those using paid cards.
