How to Transfer SBI Home Branch?

My father has a salary account in SBI. It's in a tiny village far away from where we live right now. I want to know if we can transfer that account to our current location without directly visiting the branch. My dad's pretty busy at work and he doesn't have enough time to go visit the branch and get it done.

The worst thing is that we can't even activate net banking because of some stupid issues which need to be fixed (they've entered wrong details while issuing a new passbook)

Any help is appreciated guys

Through netbanking, you can do branch transfer... But you say netbanking facility not available for you right now... Try to do that first.

They've printed wrong birthday in the passbook, and now we can't enable net banking due to that. Only way to change birthday is to visit the branch now, I guess

If you have SBI YONO app, you can request to change the branch to your desired location, all you need is IFSC of new bank. ( To activate YONO net banking is not required, you can activate the same with debit card)

I have tried doing the same for my grandmother’s pension account. All the methods mentioned by others work only if you have a non salaried savings account, using net banking i have tried it for some other account. Would not recommend using yono for this purpose as it did not work for me.
First thing you should do is visit the nearby sbi branch in which you want to transfer and submit a request letter to change DOB along with kyc update form and proof. It will take 2-3 days to update.
Now secondly can you explain why you want to change home branch nowadays in sbi it really does not matter where the home branch is. I am only asking because changing it might lead to salary not being credited for a month or more
