Hsbc cashback credit card

My advice, take first year free (currently by spending some amount, earlier its direct) and see how its useful in first year.

During renewal, request for fee waiver and if not worked switch to another card which is either FYF or LTF at that time.

If fee waiver obtained, enjoy another year and do repeat the process again.

If switched, wait for 3 months and apply again.

All this if that card features still inline with your spending requirements.

LTF cards not sustainable and eventually one will move to high cards or change based on increased income or further spending habits. Do not rely much on LTF cards.

Name 3 cards which are not changed its features or benefits in last 3 years?

Change is inevitable, do not aim for basic cards as LTF, which eventually change over time. IMO

I have 8 credit cards all of which are LTF... Even basic LTF cards suits my requirements as I don't spend heavily on credit card... Just wanted to know whether hsbc cashback credit card is offered as LTF basis some minimum salary requirements just like ICICI etc.

AFAIK, cashback not offered as LTF, Also IMO it won't possible in future too because HSBC currently providing only 3 cards - 1 LTF, 1 Paid, and another for HNI (LTF). So, don't think they care much about it.

Some Junk (Ignore if irrelevant):

Not sure how long you had those 8 cards, as I mentioned you'll eventually increase your spends and aim for better cards. As I'm always suggesting in other posts, atleast aim for premium or super premium cards as LTF rather basic cards.

Cards that I obtained 2 years ago as LTF, now lying idle and replaced with new and better cards, and if I upgrade those cards then LTF may not possible. For me, Its better to close/switch cards where we have complete control rather taking basic cards as LTF and worry later whether to close or not (because we may think, since it is LTF we should keep where in reality its just lying idle).

So, I always say myself, before going for LTF just think how long that card work for me based on that proceed because nowadays cards are devaluing within a year and replacing with new cards.
