Hello Finos
I'm using a HSBC Cashback Credit card (now HSBC Live+) and have made a spends of 3L+ in the last cycle, and as per the policy, the annual fee of Rs.999+GST should have been waivered off automatically. But get this...
1) They had included the Rs.999 and the GST component of Rs. 179.82 in my June statement, and upon clarification, they said that the fee will be credited back in the next cycle, but asked me to pay the full amount for June
2) In the July statement, they had reversed ONLY the Rs.999 component but not the Rs.179.82
When i called the customer care, they said they'll raise this request to reverse the GST component as well. Will have to see if they reverse it or not.
I'm aware that the amount is miniscule but It's not about the money, but fair practices. Writing this to keep you guys aware of such things and asking you to check your statements properly to avoid unecessary charges
Thanks!
