HSBC RuPay Cashback Credit Card – My Experience & Cashback Review

I recently got my HSBC RuPay Cashback Credit Card, and here’s my first-hand review covering the application process, benefits, and cashback experience.

Application Process 📝

• Applied on 24th July 2025 via a bank agent
• Already had another HSBC card → only salary slip + Aadhaar was required
• Super smooth approval, done without video KYC

Card Delivery & First Statement 📬

• Card delivered on 4th August 2025
• First statement generated on 22nd August 2025
• On 25th August 2025, I received ₹246 cashback credited to my account
• Cashback was credited within the same billing cycle (impressive speed!)
• But: No transaction-level breakup shown in the statement

Key Benefits 🌟

• 10% Cashback on:
  • Food deliveries 🍕
  • Dining 🍽️
  • Groceries 🛒
• 1% Cashback on UPI spends (using RuPay + mobile UPI apps 📲)
• Lounge Access at select domestic airports ✈️
• 0 forex markup till 31st December 2025

If HSBC improves cashback transparency by providing category-wise breakdowns, this could easily rank as one of the best cashback + UPI credit cards in India, 2025.

I already have live+ card and applied for the cashback card on september 21. The credit card team has taken my salary slip + Aadhar.

After that no update from HSBC. I contacted support team, everytime they asked me to wait for 21 days TAT.

How to reach the credit card application team directly??

Very useful card for small transactions. I am using this card only till 4500-5000 ( all are above 100 rupees) and getting 400 every month.

Will the addon card provide an extra 400 capping? Just like live+ do for the addon card (Rs 1000 extra capping)

Hi @rewards_Hunter , R u sure on this ? we get 1000 extra capping for Live+ ?

I have tested the rupay cashback for add-on cards, we are not getting separate capping for addon members , the total cashback eligible per account is 400 only including 10% and 1% altogether.

As of now this is the thing , may be in future if they give 400 per card , it will be great
