I lost my old Credit Card and bloced it and got a replacement card now in Cibil the Credit Card shown as closed

I have SBI SimplyClick Credit Card which is my oldest card. I lost the card and blocked it and got a replacement card but now the card is shown as closed in Cibil as it is my oldest account will it affect my Cibil score?

Same thing happened with me !!!! WTH seriously is wrong with SBI CARDS ? They closed my account with account history of more than 3 years after issuing replacement of my damaged card & then created a new card account with the new card number but old start date !

This is ridiculous & I haven’t seen any card issuer do that UNLESS there is some changes at account level i.e Upgrade / downgrade & so on !!

I Complained to the nodal officer & got a call back telling me that it’s SBI CARD’s “POLICY” to create a new account every 4 years or so, when a card nears expiry & they replace the card !!!

Is this even true ???? Sounds absolutely bull to me !! NEVER heard “any” card issuer do this unless there is a change at account level. Creating a new card account for replacing damaged plastic just coz the card is over 3 years old is .. ridiculous !

Anyone else had the same issue ?

What's your card start date , should be same as your old card.
