increased interest rates
if you don’t pay your full bill by the due date, a 3.75% monthly (45% annually) interest will be charged to both the total due and any new purchases until it’s fully paid.

a 1% fee will apply on bill payments above ₹50,000. if you pay a bill of ₹70,000, you'll be charged ₹200 on the additional ₹20,000.

Correct. They are not discriminating whether you have the cheap Platinum card or Emeralde. All add-ons cost you Rs 199 + GST. It is almost like they are discouraging add-ons and coaxing you into becoming a primary cardholder by opening a separate relationship.

On plain reading of pdf they stated that “month”. So got confused.

Across banks, the month in such cases generally refers to the 'calendar' month.

It is a per year fee, not card issuance cost.
